Management Capabilities

NetManage and nVisage address a wide range of IP networking technologies. From switches and routers to application performance and Quality of Service, NetStar provides a single, consistent view and a common management platform.

We understand that when something goes wrong, the key to fast resolution is having all the information in one place. So, nVisage holds not just device details, but third party information, such as Telco service numbers, contact information and maintenance details.

More importantly, our approach doesn’t end with managing individual devices. nVisage provides a high-level status of the overall network, and the ability to drill down to individual devices and device components. Based on the type of fault and device criticality, the business rules embedded in nVisage determine what action NetStar’s engineers should take, and who gets contacted.

So if a core link is down, we’ll track down the Network Manager and escalate to the appropriate Telco. But if a remote office routers has failed, we’ll begin the resolution process without disturbing the Network Manager’s sleep!
