The NetStar Vulnerability Assessment Service is powered by technology from Beyond Security and SecuriTeam.com, the world’s leading source for IT security news. The service utilises an appliance capable of scanning a Class C network in around 12 minutes for over 4,500 vulnerabilities, which are updated on an hourly basis.

Features of the service include:

• lowest rate of "false positives" versus competitive products (< 0.01%)
• variable scanning rate to ensure a completely non-intrusive scan
• scans a broad range of IP network devices

We recommend an appliance is placed with the customer's network, which may scan all IP addresses or a selected range, such as all servers and security devices. NetStar is able to perform a remote scan of perimeter devices.
